Choosing a mandala or sacred geometry tattoo for a cover-up can be challenging. The precision and symmetry of these tattoo styles make it really tough to properly cover up an old tattoo, especially without incorporating large blackwork areas.

When it comes to cover-up of a tattoo, it’s important to prioritize what works best over personal preference.

I typically refrain from using colored inks in my work. However, with the old tattoo completely off-center, our options were limited. We made the decision to use gray color ink as a creative solution to hide old piece.

After the first session, the full-back cover-up project began.
